My Lana Del Rey Story 

Basically, my entire day was insane because I also went into work and met with a friend yesterday. But, anyway, I decided that I should line up around 6:30 PM and I ended up getting there at 7 PM but it was fine because I still got a really good view. The annoying thing was that I was wearing a backpack with my laptop in it (since I have to bring a laptop for work) and I was hoping there would be some kind of coat check but there wasn’t. I guess in the end it was for the better because I would have lost my place up front if I took the time to check in it.

Anyway, these girls in front of me were really funny and kept offering me their drinks and were all YOU’RE FROM NEW JERSEY? WE’RE FROM JERSEY SHORE!!! They were hysterical but they were a little insane and the people next to me were getting pissed because they put their drinks down on the floor. I ended up separating from them and then meeting a really nice girl, with a friend, who was holding flowers that she wanted to give to Lana.

Before Lana performed unfortunately Zebra Katz performed. It was so god awful and you can even look up their stuff yourself to see how awful it is. Every song was just a loud booming track and him and her trying to rap but not even really because every chorus had the word “bitch” in it about 50 times. He started off with a song about hipsters okay. The girl and me were like wtf why are these assholes performing before Lana Del Rey? Like they were playing Frank Sinatra while we waited and then they performed it was so bizarre.

Anyways, after 10 PM Lana precious angel Del Rey showed up in her glory. And she was sooooo flawless. She looked amazing and it was just an incredible feeling for the whole show because everyone sang along to her lyrics and we all just loved her so much. Idk that just makes me happy because she has so many haters. But she sounded amazing and in the background they had alot of the footage that she uses in her music videos. So perfect.

The girls with the flowers really wanted to give them to Lana somehow but didn’t know how and then finally during Video Games one of them threw the flowers on the stage and everyone was shrieking and it was sooo nice to see her face and know she was so loved.

She ended with National Anthem which I knew she would but she actually ended up singing the Demo version which I am OBSESSED with. Like I love the original too but the Demo is amazing and I wasn’t expecting it and it was such a perfect ending. She also kept coming into the crowd and kissing and hugging people in the front. IT WAS SO SWEEET. 

Basically, she was just incredible and yeah, she wasn’t a “performer” but I think that her fans all knew what they were getting into. And it was all for the music and her voice and her and it was amazing so she didn’t need to dance like an acrobat or anything. There is really something to her also that is just like beyond this world, I don’t even know how to explain it.

Then I met up with my friend and slept over her apartment and here I am now back in NJ. :)
